What's The Big Deal About Organic Food And Supplements?

What Is Organic Food?

Organic food to put it most simply is food grown the way it was for hundreds of thousands of years-free of the plague the chemical industry has dumped on this planet and its agricultural products since only the mid to late 1940s.

We have to pay more money now to get food that hasn't been poisoned by chemicals. This is insane.

Organic farming puts emphasize on the use of renewable resources and the conservation of soil and water to enhance environmental quality.

"Certified Organic food" is produced without chemical pesticides or fertilizers made with synthetic ingredients or sewage sludge; genetic engineering; or ionizing radiation.

Sound Holistic Nutrition research highly recommends eating as much certified organic food as possible.

Before a product can be labeled "organic" a Government-approved inspector inspects the farm where the food is grown to make sure the farmer is following all the rules necessary to meet USDA organic standards.

Companies that handle or process organic food before it gets to you must be certified, too.

It is food grown as it was for thousands of years until the chemical companies decided to poison the land in order to profit at the expense of us all while claiming to be benefiting us all.

The food produced with chemical pesticides and fertilizers including phosphates is chemically polluted, nutritionally deficient and dangerous to your health.

If you talk to anyone who used to use chemical products and now grows organic food products, they will tell you that their crops are healthier, more disease resistant and less prone to insect attack since they stopped using chemicals.

Yet each of these points has been claimed by the chemical manufactures of agricultural products to be the benefit of using their products.

The organic farmers I've talked to say this is rubbish and when they were farming using chemical products, they had to use more and more of these chemicals year after year to maintain their plants.

Is Organic Food Truly Better For Me?

While organic foods may contain some additives and pollutants, studies have found organically produced foods to have many health benefits, however the USDA makes no claims that organically produced food is safer or more nutritious than conventionally produced food. This is plain wrong.

Eating organic foods means eating food in a much purer form than conventional food and with less undesirable additives. It has been grown with less environmental pollutants and therefore is much less toxic to you.

Studies have reported that organic produce has higher levels of vitamin C, certain minerals, and antioxidants. How nutritious it is ultimately depends on how well the mineral balance of the soil is maintained. And of course organic foods have less poisonous pesticides and other harmful chemicals.

From a Holistic Nutrition perspective eating more organic food is one of the most important things you can do to improve your health. The closer to your home it is grown the better for purposes of freshness and nutritional integrity.

Are Organic Natural Food Supplements Beneficial?

From a Holistic Nutrition perspective they are if your diet is nutritionally inadequate.

Organic natural food supplements ensure an adequate supply of essential nutrients to maintain basic health.

Organic based supplements help protect against toxins and prevent cell damage. They are used to fight disease and combat early aging. When used to as supplement to a healthy diet and regular exercise, they can help you reach an optimal state of health.

In addition to Natural organic nutritional supplements providing necessary nutrients, such supplements can provide minerals, amino acids (the building blocks of protein) and other natural occurring chemicals that science hasn't even detected or understood yet.

However, that being said, you will get far more benefit with less cost by juicing "organically" grown and certified fruits and vegetables.

But, you know what? You will get a huge amount of nutritional benefit from juicing even "regularly" grown fruits and vegetables. When you juice this kind of produce after washing it or peeling it, you will get a great deal of nutritional benefit since you will taking in pounds of fruits and vegetables in one pint or quart of juice.

Also, it is important to know that the juice from most juicers has much less chemical residue in it than it you ate the whole thing raw. These harmful chemicals tend to be expelled with the pulp.
